Celebrating the life of
Claudia Kessler Faller
September 29, 1985 - April 04, 2015
Claudia loved to live and lived to love
SAVANNAH - Surrounded by her family and close friends, Claudia Kessler Faller, age 29, died on April 4, 2015, at St. Joseph’s –Candler Hospital after heroically fighting a lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis. She was born on September 29, 1985 in Wilson, NC where she spent her first 15 years of life. In July of 2000 she moved with her family to Savannah and started her sophomore year of High School at St. Vincent’s Academy. Claudia loved to live and lived to love; never allowing her disease to define her. She was a soccer player and cheerleader during her Middle School and High School years.
Claudia’s giving and generous spirit was forever present when helping anyone in need. Her passion for giving bestowed creative gifts for many. Even in her final days she was trying to decide how she could do something for the wonderful staff caring for her.
Captain Blake Faller, the love of her life, met Claudia in November of 2008. After three days he knew that she would be that one person in life that he never wanted to disappoint. They married on October 24, 2009. Her love for children began at an early age; caring for and treating her baby dolls as if they were her own real children. Her life’s dream was to be a mother, and the good Lord made her dream come true with the birth of her two children, Carter and Brileigh Ann. She insisted on being involved with their lives; at times only being able to watch their ball games from her car. Claudia built a life focused on the best interests of her children, which allowed her to develop a loving friendship with little Carter’s dad and step-mother.
Claudia’s creative talents led her to open “Bee Bugs Monogramming” in 2013. She also loved to shop; especially for her children and family.
In addition to her husband and children, Claudia is survived by her parents, Fred O. Kessler III and Ann Lowe Kessler; a sister, Catherine K. Hopewell (Jason) and their daughter, Stacy; a brother, Beau Kessler (Jessica) and their daughter, Anna Kate; her maternal grandmother, Gloria Lowe; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Stacy Ann Kessler, her maternal grandfather, Marion J. Lowe, and her paternal grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Fred O. Kessler, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 pm until 6:30 pm, followed by a Rosary Service at 6:30 pm, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 10, 2015, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Interment will follow in Bonaventure Cemetery.
Remembrances may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Rd., Suite 200, Bethesda, MD 20814.

I am so sorry to hear about Claudia's death. Rebecca and I have shared tears and talked of fun memories when they were small. I was Facebook friends with Claudia and saw pictures of her beautiful children and the last week of her life saw how leaving them was so painful. She was in my nightly prayers and I know God will take care of the little ones. I cannot imagine how great your grief is but all of you are in my prayers.

I didn't know Claudia that well, but what I did know and heard from others is that she was a wonderful human being. That doesn't surprise me knowing the awesome family she is a part of, starting with her mother Ann. I grew up with Kelly and the Lowe family and they are one of the best families I know and I feel privileged to be a part of their lives. I know Claudia has no more suffering, no more pain and has all the clean air she needs in Heaven. We can be happy for that and know that God knows what he is doing and that we just have to trust him. I pray he comforts you during this very difficult time. Love to all of you!

This is absolutely surreal. It feels like I just saw Claudia and spoke with her recently!! I do want to share that knowing that Claudia is no longer suffering gives my broken heart a bit of a reprieve. In my mind I can see her like a little hummingbird, a-lighting around heaven greeting everyone with her smile and kind ways. It gives me joy to think of her in this way because I know she is at peace and is finally able to do the things, that on this earth she was incapable of. Know this... she is smiling down on all of us and is rejoicing in the day when we can all join her again. I look forward to that day and am proud to have been her friend and am very proud of the legacy that she left to her family and children. They should be very proud of their mother, wife, daughter, sister and niece for being such a strong, willfull, caring and kind young woman. I know I am. Much sadness for us here on earth but much rejoicing in heaven that she has joined the angels.
- Kristen Morgan , Pooler, Ga
